Well... I've forgotten to take off those discs locks one too many times and also have had two bikes stolen, so I came up with
another security measure... and a better one at that. This way two beefy guys can't just pick up your bike.
Wrap one end of one cable around the wheel as seen below by running one eyelet through the other. Do the same thing
with the other cable to what you want to attach the bike to. I used a light pole.
Connect the two loose ends with an industrial strength, hardened steel padlock. Make sure you get one with a long enough
loop, or it may not be able to close around the thick cables.
And here is what the final product will look like. In the picture you can see a third cable not attached to anything,
I used it to lock up a second bike off of the "main" line.
Now obviously this won't stop all theives, but it is a deterant, and far better than no lock at all.
